Motion Graphics Designer

Intern Job Description

Do you have the expertise to introduce processes and working methods based on your skills and experience to aid towards the smooth running of the department? Can you create custom graphics, bespoke illustrations and animations that ensure effective knowledge transfer and retention? Are you efficient at using Adobe After Effects, and Photoshop? We are looking for a gifted Motion Graphics Designer Intern, who can create highly engaging complex animations for a diverse array of media.

Motion Graphics Designer

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Designs and creates enticing motion graphics for video deliverables (corporate videos, eLearning, websites, marketing demos, etc.).
  • Prepare design plan, concept and layout for motion graphics projects.
  • Work with art and creative teams to understand project scope and objectives.
  • Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for graphic designing.
  • Work with editors, producers, and other designers to resolve technical and/design issues.
  • Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
  • Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics.
  • Participate in brainstorming session to share new design perspectives and ideas.
  • Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of graphic files.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest graphic design techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines and design standards.
Skills and Qualities

As well as being extremely driven and having a desire to develop your skill set and grow with our company, the ideal Motion Graphics Designer Intern must have the following:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines, producing work of a suitable style
  • Ability to solve an array of challenges through visual design.
  • Must be able to mediate creative problems to arrive at the best solution
  • Manage time effectively, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully, quality control is key
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Professional demeanor with high degree of comfort speaking with the team and clients
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in; Graphic Design or Motion graphics, Multimedia technology and animation, Computer Science and technology, Film production, or a Related Field.
  • At least 1 year of graphic design experience including video production design and animation with strong portfolio showcasing high-end digital design skills.
Essential Skills:
  • Adobe After Effects.
  • Photoshop
